Used Fiat Scudo Panorama

The Fiat Scudo Panorama is a passenger car that seats eight adults, unlike most MPVs which seat only seven, It fills the void left by the now defunct Fiat Ulysses, which used to satisfy the needs of families for an able family car and families with Doblos that are becoming rather old and run-down. The long wheel base version can easily accommodate up to nine persons, thanks to its long slab-sided body. There is no lack of space inside, you can negotiate your way comfortably to one end of the passenger cabins, and the back if required. And this is true of the short wheel base version as well. Viewed from the outside, the Panorama appears slightly classier than its sibling van. The appearance is enhanced by the presence of alloy wheels and privacy glass. It has the typical sliding doors that parents declare essential in MPVs. The large tailgate is tricky to use, particularly if another car is parked close, and opening the huge rear door can be a bit unwieldy. It offers one advantage, however, you can use it to shelter more people than you can imagine during heavy rain or showers. You cannot complain much about the interior comforts that the Panorama offers. the driver’s seat is fully adjustable and visibility is excellent with plenty of headroom. General and overhead storage is abundant. There are three 12-volt outlets, one for little kids who require recharging of play stations and other entertainment gadgets, another for the satellite navigation unit, and the third for the mobile phone. Rear seat passengers can be as comfortable as those in front; there are air vents and fans that they can adjust independently. The Panorama seems big on the road but its boxy contour helps a lot in easing your way through traffic. Parking can prove daunting at first try. Once you get the hang of it, however, parking becomes a routine. The Panorama is not the M5, obviously, but its 2.0-liter diesel (mulitjet) 120 horsepower engine offers excellent performance and fuel economy. If you like something more powerful, a 140 horsepower multijet engine that produces torque of 320 lb/ft at 2000 rpm is also available. The car’s suspension works just fine on even road even when loaded. However, you are looking for a family car here, not a racecar. Its suspension, though not cutting edge, will not be an issue. The build of the Panorama may not be as interesting as other used Fiat cars. It proves one important thing though – function is always more substantial than appearance.
