Used Mercedes 320

Mercedes 320

The 320 is a car model name produced by German automaker Mercedes-Benz. The 320 line began in 1993 and ended in 1998. Some of Mercedes cars that carried the 320 name were the 1993-1995 E320 and E320A with the W124 chassis, the 1994 S320 with W140 chassis, the 1994-1997 SL320 with R129 chassis, the 1998 ML320 with W163 chassis, the 1995 E320 with W210 chassis and the 1998 CLK320 with C208 chassis. The late 320 was the GL 320. The Mercedes ML 320 CDI sports version carries a 2987cc V6 engine, which generates 221 horsepower at 3800 rpm and an excellent torque of 376lb/ft at 1600-2800rpm. Top speed is 133 mph while transmission is a seven-speed automatic. The V6 propels the car 0-62 a matter of 6.2 seconds. At 28.8 mpg, fuel is not one of its strong points. Still, the ML320 is considered by many as a huge improvement from its previous model. While Mercedes seems to have successfully distanced itself from the previous 320, which consistently ranked last in the Top Gear ratings, and constructed a more Mercedes-like car in the CDI, some are still not quite satisfied. Its steering column mounted gearlever does not sit well with some customers. Another thing that prevents buyers from brandishing their checque books with more enthusiasm is its price. Otherwise, the used Mercedes 320 CDI is a car as good as any. The GL 320 CDI is a big SUV that is designed a bit unconventionally. The SUV has descending sloping lines that create an arrow-like shape, which people admit do a good job of concealing its massive bulk. The effect, however, is not at all unpleasant. There something workmanlike in its appearance. The interior materials of the GL320 do not match the Range Rover’s rugged luxury well, but its assembly is superlative. It is feels like it is built to last and although interior amenities are lacking, space utilization is excellent – quite practical for a big family. The GL 320 CDI sports a 3.0-liter turbo V6 that produces 215 hp and 398lb/ft of torque at 1,600 to 2,800 rpm. There is reason to indulge in passing slower and less powerful cars on the rode. But the urge must be tempered since the GL 320 is not actually a fuel economizer. Your driving experience in the big 320 can be summarized in two words: impervious and imperious. On straight lines, driving is exhilarating and plush and vibration is a foreign world. But quick lane changing must be well thought of first since one of the car’s few limitations is its visibility.
